Dr Sacharias' contribution to the field of radiology and beyond was recognised through several awards. The first recognition by the college that Dr. Sacharias may have contributed to Radiology in Australia was to give her Life Membership to the College in 2002. Soon thereafter Dr Sacharias was given recognition and appreciation and congratulations for completing 45 years of service at the Alfred Hospital. Dr Sacharias was also awarded The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists Roentgen Medal awarded to Fellow of the College who have made a very valuable contribution to the affairs of the College over a significant period of time.
