Annotated abdomen CT slice

Abdomen

The in comparison to the chest, the abdomen is increasingly imaged using computed tomography, and this talk reflects that emphasis. Nonetheless, many conditions can be diagnosed on plain x-ray appearances, possibly with the use of contrast. After presenting an approach to the interpretation of the abdominal x-ray and CT, the talk moves on to cover the radiological appearances of surgical conditions in the abdomen. Medical conditions of the abdominal organs are covered in the gastrointestinal talk, with separate talks covering the hepatobiliary system and renal tract.
